Our Gloucestershire Church Photographs were mostly taken in Winter time since once Spring
arrives the churches are difficult to photograph due to the heavy
foliage from surrounding trees and shrubs - quite apart from the
inevitable huge yew tree(s) quite often found adjacent to English churches.
Our most favourite church so far is the lovely little Church of St Peter - located in the
Cotswolds village of Little Barrington on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire
border - to us this old church sums up everything that makes visiting
England's village churches so delightful.
One of the specialities of
Gloucesterhire's churches is their love of exceedingly high spires - for
instance the spire at Kemble's church is really high. It certainly makes taking
photographs rather difficult to say the least since often you cannot get far
enough back to photo the whole church.
