We found the Northants churches to be quite difficult to photograph - not just because as usual with English Churches there are always lots of lovely but large trees growing right by the churches, but also because the bricks used are a dark brown colour in many cases which really makes them look dark even in sunlight or they have been built in what almost appears to be a cement coloured stone. Some of the churches have really high spires - for instance the impressive spire at Kings Sutton's church - another feature of this lovely church is it has a sundial on it's main structure. One of the longest church names we have come across is located in Northants - it's Ashby St Ledgers - The Blessed Virgin Mary and St Leodegarius.
