English Toadstool and Fungus Pictures.
The toadstools and fungus which can be seen around the woodland and countryside in Southern England are as nice visually as many flowers because of their different textures and often vivid colours.
The photographs below are of just a few we have seen whilst we have been out walking in the Chilterns and were mostly taken in late Autumn and early Winter 2004. We have purchased two books on English toadstools and fungus (and also spent time searching on the web) so we will try and identify/name each species when we get more time but it is difficult since so far the descriptions and also the pictures in these books do not particularly look very much like our photos.
